HWPL:Indian womenspeak out about peace and women’s rights on the International Women’s Day

March 7th 2015, Hyderabad, India-Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) hosted an event to commemorate the international women’s day urging an enactment of international law for cessation of all wars and world peace on March 7th2015 at a seminar hall in Osmania University, India. With the official title, “The role of women in bringing world peace through the enactment of international law,”44prominent experts in the fields of legal profession and educationand 65 law school students have attended this event. At the end of the seminar, all the participants signed the peace agreement that they pledge to fully support the enactment of the international law to cease all wars.

What was noteworthy was that 30Indian women professors attended not only to commemorate the international women’s day but also to discuss in depthabout the active role of women in peace-building. One ofthe speakerssaid “Systematic approach is also necessary to accomplish cessation of war and world peace. Signing the peace agreement with the world leaders from various fields and demanding the enactment of international law are the most idealistic peace movement as well as pragmatic solution to bring world peace.”India has had a long fight with Pakistan over Kashmir region mainly due to religious misunderstandings and territorial dispute. This long and ongoing battle has lasted for 60 years already causing countless casualties. Even though several peace talks have occurred for ceasefire, a diplomatic solution has not been reached and the fear of war is still present. In the midst of such conflict, women professors on behalf of all women in India joined the peace seminar which demonstrates their strong aspiration toward bringing peace to their communities.

The peace seminar on the international women’s day would not have been possible without the chairman of HWPL’s efforts in India where women’s rights are ought to be improved. Peace movements led by Chairman Man Hee Lee and Mrs. Nam Hee Kim, chairwoman of International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG,) inspired those who participated in this seminar as they voluntarily gathered to support HWPL’s work and empower women’s rights in India. Successfully embarking the World Alliance of Religions Peace (WARP) Summit in September 2014, Chairman Lee also gave a keynote speech at the 15th International Conference of Chief Justice of the World (ICCJW) in New Delhi, hosted by Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, a founder of the City Montessori School (CMS). After hearing his powerful speech, over 160 chief justices and presidents of various countries signed the agreement of the enactment of international law to enlighten and change the international community.

Continuing from the international women’s day, the international law day is coming up on May 1st. All the interests and efforts for cessation of all wars would be sure to lead to an enactment of international law and this message of peace will be delivered to the ears and eyes of the peopleall over the world through the press and reporters who love peace. Peace movement of HWPL that transcends nations, cultures, and religions continues to this day with the active and voluntary participations of countless leaders and organizations around the globe.
