تسلم رئيس بلدية صيدا الدكتور حازم خضر بديع في مبنى القصر البلدي، هبة عينية: ملابس لصالح الأطفال ( أطفال رضع وعمر سنتين – 16 عاما –ذكور وإناث ) مقدمة من اللجنة الفنية العسكرية للبنان MTC4L بقيادة دولة إيطاليا، وذلك من ممثل اللجنة الكولونيل أتيليو كورتوني، وحضور مستشار اللجنة الفنية العسكرية في لبنان السيد أحمد سقلاوي، ونائب رئيس البلدية الدكتور عبدالله كنعان، وعضو المجلس البلدي المهندس محمود شريتح، وقائد شرطة بلدية صيدا المفوض بدر القوام، ورئيسة الدائرة المالية والإدارية السيدة زهرة الدرزي، ورئيس الدائرة الهندسية المهندس الدكتور زياد الحكواتي .
الكولونيل كورتوني أشار إلى أن اللجنة الفنية العسكرية للبنان MTC4L هي مبادرة إنسانية وبناء للقدرات بقيادة إيطالية، وهي مؤسسة حديثة على مستوى دولي، ذات هدف مزدوج: أولاً دعم الجيش اللبناني و ثانياً دعم السكان اللبنانيين أكثر من أي وقت مضى من خلال الهبات الإنسانية.
وأضاف: إنّ اللجنة الفنية العسكرية للبنان تعمل بقيادة وبتوجيهات اللواء الركن ديوداتو أبانيارا، كما تمتثل وتحترم كامل قرارات منظمة الأمم المتحدة و المهمّات الثنائية والدولية المتواجدة حالياً على الأراضي اللبنانيّة، وهي في الوقت الحالي مكونةّ من 8 دول شريكة: إيطاليا والولايات المتّحدة الأميركية وكندا والمملكة المتحدة وفرنسا وألمانيا وإسبانيا وهولندا.
وقال : بالرغم من الأوضاع الصعبة المتأزِّمة، لا يزال الدعم مستمر من دون انقطاع للشعب اللبناني من قبل اللجنة الفنية العسكرية للبنان (MTC4L).، وهذه المرة كانت مدينة صيدا محطة إهتمام من قبل اللجنة.
بديع
من جهته شكر د. بديع للجنة ولممثلها الكولونيل كورتوني هذه البادرة الإنسانية والهبة التي جاءت في وقتها بالنظر للاوضاع الراهنة التي يمر بها لبنان ومنطقة الجنوب اللبناني.
وقال : هذه المبادرة تعبرعن مدى إهتمام اللجنة في تقديم المساعدة للسكان المحليين والتي ترجمت في صيدا من خلال هبة الملابس للأطفال .
وأشار إلى أنه سيتم توزيع هذه الهبة على هيئات وجمعيات لديها لوائح بمن هم بأمس الحاجة للدعم الإجتماعي بالنظر للأوضاع الإقتصادية الصعبة التي يمرون فيها.
اللجنة
وأشارت اللجنة في بيان إلى شمول مدينة صيدا بهذه الهبة " صيدا، المدينة التي تتواجد على بعد 40 كيلومترًا جنوب بيروت، وهي مدينة تعايش حيث تضم مختلف الطوائف الإسلامية و المسيحية و إن كانت تتخذ الطابع الإسلامي السنّي، إنما التعدد والتعايش لمختلف الأديان و الطوائف فيها تعكس وتظهر صورة لبنان الحقيقية.
إن صيدا المدينة هي بقعة تقاطع استراتيجية تاريخية بين لبنان الحاضر ومدينة فينيقيا القديمة. بنظرة خاصة لمكوّن المجتمع المحلّي للمدينة، حيث يلتقي أبناء المدينة المسيحيون والمسلمون في الصلاة التي تقام بمناسبة عيد " إنتقال العذراء"، لذلك أرادت لجنة MTC4L المشاركة بتقديم هبة لبلديّة مدينة صيدا في هذه المناسبة الدينيّة، عبارة عن ملابس لصالح الأطفال".
وختمت اللجنة :" إن ميزة بلاد الأرز تعدديّة المعتقدات المتواجدة في الشرق الأوسط، بغض النظر عن الصعوبات التي يواجها لبنان، استطاع لبنان أن يحتفظ على الطليعة في تحقيق والمحافظة على التوافق لهذا النسيج الذي لا مثيل له في هذا العالم أجمع".

The Mayor of Sidon, Dr. Hazem Khoder Badieh, received, in the municipal palace building, a donation in kind: clothes for children (age infants and 2-16 years old - males and females) presented by the Military Technical Committee of Lebanon MTC4L, led by the State of Italy, from the representative of the committee, Colonel Attilio Cortone, in the presence of Advisor to the Military Technical Committee in Lebanon, Mr. Ahmad Seklaoui , Deputy Mayor, Dr. Abdullah Kanaan, Member of the Municipal Council, Engineer Mahmoud Shreiteh, Commissioner of the Sidon Municipal Police, Commissioner Badr Al-Qawam, Head of the Financial and Administrative Department, Mrs. Zahra Al-Darzi, and Head of the Engineering Department, Engineer Dr. Ziad Al-Hakawati.
Colonel Cortone pointed out that the Military Technical Committee for Lebanon (MTC4L) is an Italian-led humanitarian and capacity-building initiative, and it is a modern institution on an international level, with a dual goal: firstly, to support the Lebanese army and secondly, to support the Lebanese population more than ever before through humanitarian donations.
He added: The Military Technical Committee for Lebanon works under the leadership and directives of Major General Deodato Abagnaara, and it also complies with and respects all the resolutions of the United Nations and the bilateral and international missions currently present on Lebanese territory. It is currently made up of 8 partner countries: Italy, the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom. France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
He said: Despite the difficult and tense conditions, support continues without interruption to the Lebanese people by the Military Technical Committee for Lebanon (MTC4L). This time, the city of Sidon was a focus of attention by the committee.
Badieh
For his part, Dr badieh thanked this humanitarian gesture and gift that came at the right time, given the current conditions that Lebanon and the southern Lebanese region are going through, is wonderful for the committee and its representative, Colonel Cortoni.
He said: This initiative expresses the committee’s interest in providing assistance to the local population, which was translated in Sidon through the donation of clothes for children.
He pointed out that this donation will be distributed to bodies and associations that have lists of those most in need of social support, given the difficult economic conditions they are experiencing.

The committee indicated in a statement that the city of Sidon was included in this donation. “Sidon, the city located 40 kilometers south of Beirut, is a city of coexistence as it includes various Islamic and Christian sects, although it takes on a Sunni Islamic character, but the pluralism and coexistence of the various religions and sects in it reflects It shows the true image of Lebanon.
The city of Sidon is a strategic, historical intersection between present-day Lebanon and the ancient city of Phenicia. With a special view of the local community component of the city, where Christian and Muslim citizens of the city meet in the prayer held on the occasion of the Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin, therefore the MTC4L Committee wanted to participate by providing a donation to the municipality of the city of Sidon on this religious occasion, consisting of clothes for the benefit of children.
The committee concluded: “The advantage of the Land of the Cedar is the pluralism of beliefs present in the Middle East. Regardless of the difficulties facing Lebanon, Lebanon has been able to maintain the forefront in achieving and maintaining harmony for this fabric that is unparalleled in this entire world.”
