عقدت منظمة ’الثقافة السماوية، السلام العالمي، وإحياء النور (HWPL)‘ الاجتماع الثالث للجنة تنفيذ السلام في الشرق الأوسط عبر الإنترنت في 8 أغسطس/آب. وناقش أعضاء اللجنة وسفراء السلام المحتملون والشركاء من العراق ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط الأوسع، العاملون في مجالات القانون الدولي والدين والتربية على السلام والشباب والإعلام، مهمة اللجنة ودور سفراء السلام وأهميتهم.
تضمن البرنامج عروضاً تقديمية قطاعية، ومقدمة عن HWPL، وشرحاً لهدف وثيقة السلام ووقف الحرب (DPCW) وتطورها، وحلقات نقاش جماعية، وتقديم شهادات تعيين لسفراء السلام. وخلال حلقات النقاش، استكشف المشاركون خطط عمل ملموسة لتعزيز تنفيذ DPCW، وحددوا سبل التعاون في مجالات تخصصهم.
قالت الأستاذة المساعدة في جامعة دهوك، سرى جميل حنا، والمتحدثة في مجال التوعية بالسلام: "إن السلام بين الأمم ليس مجرد شعار، بل يبدأ بالتعليم والحوار." وأوضحت خطتها لمواصلة المبادرات التطوعية من خلال لقاءات الطلاب، وورش العمل التعليمية، والندوات، والمحاضرات التوعوية، وهي مبادرات تجمع أفراداً من خلفيات دينية ووطنية متنوعة، وترفض الحرب وخطاب الكراهية، وتعزز التعاون والقيم المشتركة.
وأوضحت حنا أيضًا أنها، من خلال مشاركتها في برامج تدريب HWPL التي استمرت لعدة أشهر وعملها كقائدة للسلام، تواصلت عبر الإنترنت مع قادة دينيين من مختلف أنحاء العالم. وقالت إن هذه التجربة ساعدت المشاركين على تحديد الرسائل المشتركة للسلام في مختلف التعاليم الدينية، وأعربت عن نيتها نشر الوعي بأن الأديان تدعو إلى السلام من خلال الأنشطة التعليمية.
وخلال الحدث، قامت HWPL بتعيين سفراء السلام في اللجنة وقدمت لهم الشهادات. كان الهدف من التعيينات هو تعزيز إحساس الأعضاء بالمسؤولية وتشكيل مجموعة رسمية من المشاركين يمكنها مواصلة أنشطة السلام من خلال شبكات في مجالات القانون الدولي والدين والتربية على السلام وغيرها.
تعتزم HWPL تطوير برامج متابعة بناءً على خطط العمل والآراء التي جُمعت سابقاً من المشاركين، مع مواصلة التعاون القطاعي مع الشركاء في الشرق الأوسط. كما تعتزم تحديد أدوار اللجنة وسفراء السلام التابعين لها بشكل أدق، بهدف تعزيز فهم المشاركين لـ DPCW والمشاركة في أنشطة السلام العملية.

HWPL Holds Third Middle East Peace Implementation Committee Meeting, Focusing on Peace Ambassadors and Practical Action
Participants from International Law, Religion, Peace Education, Youth and Media Discuss Action Plans for Advancing the DPCW
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) held the third Middle East Peace Implementation Committee meeting online on August 8. Committee members, prospective peace ambassadors and partners from Iraq and the wider Middle East working in international law, religion, peace education, youth and media discussed the committee's mission and the value and role of peace ambassadors.
The program included sector-based presentations, an introduction to HWPL, an explanation of the purpose and development of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), group discussions and the presentation of appointment certificates to peace ambassadors. During the discussions, participants explored concrete action plans for advancing the DPCW and identified ways to cooperate in their respective fields.
Prof. Sura Jamil Hanna, an assistant professor at the University of Duhok and a speaker in the peace education sector, said, “Peace among nations is not merely a slogan; it begins with education and dialogue.” She outlined plans to continue voluntary initiatives through student gatherings, educational workshops, seminars and awareness lectures that bring together people from diverse religious and national backgrounds, reject war and hate speech, and promote cooperation and shared values.
Hanna also explained that, through several months of HWPL training programs and service as a Peace Leader, she had engaged online with religious leaders from different parts of the world. She said the experience helped participants identify shared messages of peace in various religious teachings and expressed her intention to spread the understanding that religions call for peace through educational activities.
During the event, HWPL appointed peace ambassadors for the committee and presented them with certificates. The appointments were intended to strengthen members' sense of responsibility and formally establish a group of participants who can sustain peace activities through networks in international law, religion, peace education and other sectors.
HWPL plans to develop follow-up programs based on the action plans and prior input gathered from participants, while continuing sector-based engagement with partners in the Middle East. It also intends to further define the roles of the committee and its peace ambassadors in order to broaden understanding of the DPCW and participation in practical peace activities.
